Sight glasses are assembled with 2 Nos of circular flat glasses on either side of the slotted main body of specified material. adopted to vertical downward flow. These models are particularly useful in distillation and similar apparatus where flow is apt to be intermittent .They are Designed without any obstruction to handle the intermittent flow as well as full can be supplied with or without Dip -Tube as per requirement.

Sight Flow Indicators are identical in Constructions to FSG 210 except that these are fitted with the flappers to indicate flow. These flow indicators are recommended for horizontal pipe lines are vertical pipe lines with upward flow. These units are best

1suited to transparent or slightly opaque solutions and are also used for gases. Position and flappers indicates flow. One important use of these flow indicator is the line where a downstream valve may remain closed and hence even through the flow glass remain full there may not be any flow. In such cases, the flapper position alone can indicate whether there is flow or not

Example :Cooling water flow to bearing may be stopped by a human by a human error of closing a downstream value and only the flapper can indicate the real situation.

Sight flow Indicators with rotating paddles wheel are suitable for installation in any position,but are particularly adopted in pipe line carrying dark opaque solution,where the motion of the wheel is easily detected.This model is equally adapted to transperent solutions and gases and is frequently nstalled where observations must be made from the distance.

These Sight Flow Indicators are having a kite which rotates whenever flow take place. The pressure drops are very small compared to rotating wheels types. These can be mounted in any direction.
